Zuri Health has launched Petals, an innovative AI-powered women’s health companion designed to provide personalized, confidential, and real-time support directly through WhatsApp.
The new platform aims to meet women where they already are , online and on mobile , offering holistic, judgment-free health guidance that blends the intelligence of AI with the compassion of real medical professionals.
“Every woman deserves a Petal,” said Ikechukwu Anoke, Founder and CEO of Zuri Health, during the launch. “Our mission is to make credible healthcare advice accessible to every woman, regardless of location or circumstance.”
Petals is structured around key life stages, offering tailored information and assistance across four key programs:
ZuriGlow – Focused on teens navigating puberty and early reproductive health.
ZuriBabez – Addressing contraception, sexual wellness, and reproductive health.
ZuriMoms – Supporting women through family planning, pregnancy, and motherhood.
ZuriBloom – Providing guidance through perimenopause and menopause transitions.
According to Daisy Isiaho, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, the platform leverages artificial intelligence to foster empathetic, informed, and inclusive conversations around women’s health. “Through AI, we deliver personalized, trustworthy information that helps women understand their bodies and make empowered health choices,” she noted.
Privacy and trust are central to the Petals experience. All chats are end-to-end encrypted and compliant with both Kenya’s Data Protection Act and the EU’s GDPR, ensuring users’ data remains secure and confidential.
Eva Waruhiu Muchai, VP of Women’s Health at Zuri Health, highlighted the platform’s inclusive approach: “Whether it’s your first period, your pregnancy journey, or menopause, Petals walks with you every step of the way.”
