Dr. Ann Njeri Karimi has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Biosafety Authority (NBA), following Mr Nehemiah Ngetich’s tenure.
In a statement, the Board expressed its appreciation for Mr Ngetich’s service and extended its congratulations to Dr. Karimi, noting its confidence in her ability to lead the Authority effectively. Staff were also urged to offer their full support and cooperation as she assumes her new role, to ensure continuity in delivering the Authority’s mandate.
Before this appointment, Dr. Karimi served as Director of Corporate Services at the Authority. She is a seasoned financial analyst with over 15 years of experience spanning pensions, investments, finance, administration, and asset management across multiple sectors.
Dr. Karimi holds a PhD in Business Administration (Finance), a Master’s degree in Finance, and a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration (Finance). She is a full member of both the Institute of Certified Financial Analysts (ICIFA) and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI).
Recognised for her meticulous and results-driven approach, she brings extensive expertise in banking, real estate, pensions, credit analysis, and investment management. She has a strong track record of leading high-performing teams, building strategic stakeholder relationships, and delivering on organisational objectives. implementation.
