Rather than pursuing technology alone, she combined innovation with social impact, redirecting her skills toward reproductive justice,a decision that would eventually define her career.
Leading One of Namibia’s Most Influential Advocacy Movements
In 2020, Nthengwe emerged as one of the driving forces behind Namibia’s abortion law reform movement.
She helped mobilize a grassroots petition that attracted more than 60,000 signatures, bringing national attention to reproductive rights and pushing Parliament to engage in discussions that had remained largely dormant for decades.
Recognizing the need for sustained advocacy, she co-founded the Voices for Choices and Rights Coalition (VCRC) Health and Research Institute, transforming a citizen-led campaign into a respected organization producing research, influencing public policy, and delivering healthcare services.
