iColo has announced the appointment of Wanja Muriithi as its new General Manager for Kenya .
This appointment marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to accelerate growth and deepen Digital Realty’s presence across East Africa.
The move reinforces Kenya’s importance as a key digital infrastructure hub within Digital Realty’s expanding African portfolio, which already includes operations in Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique, and South Africa.

In her new role, Muriithi will report directly to Marcel Louw, Digital Realty’s Managing Director for Africa. The company says her appointment reflects its commitment to strengthening regional operations with experienced, high-impact leadership
Muriithi is recognised for her strong track record in operational excellence, strategic planning, and sales growth, as well as her consistent focus on delivering value to both customers and employees.
With extensive experience in the ICT sector, Muriithi has held leadership and commercial roles at major companies including Microsoft, Tarsus Technologies, and Isolutions Associates, where she served as Managing Director.
Prior to joining iColo, she spent seven years as the Country General Manager at Tano Digital Kenya, where she led business development, client engagement, and organisational transformation initiatives.
Muriithi said she is excited to join iColo at a time when demand for data centre capacity and digital services in East Africa continues to rise. She praised the company’s steady growth over the past decade and expressed her commitment to supporting its next phase of expansion.
She added that she looks forward to engaging directly with customers, understanding their evolving colocation and infrastructure needs, and exploring new ways iColo can power the digital ambitions of businesses across the region.
